Taproom Supervisor - COS AND MONUMENT

Trails End Taproom Colorado Springs is looking for a TAPROOM SUPERVISOR that loves people, food, beer and the great outdoors.

This part-time position will be building and growing our Colorado Springs self-pour taproom. This person will be in charge of day to day operations in the taproom and is an integral part of the overall business plan.

The Taproom Supervisor will be responsible for leading Trails End Taproom front of house staff and contribute and help build our outdoor adventure brand. The Taproom Supervisor will support the Owner with day-to-day operations. The ideal person has lead teams before, can speak about craft beer, wine and cocktails as well as trustworthy, professional and comfortable taking initiative and acting independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience and whenever necessary resolve concerns using good judgment, professionalism and courtesy. Maintain welcoming, educational, exciting and inviting experience

  • Ability to build and maintain 5 star relationship with our customers and staff

  • Build close relationships with all our distributers and breweries

  • Advise the Owner with the weekly schedule and monitor staffing needs based on sales volume.

  • Communicate job expectations to all staff.

  • Assist with social media marketing

    Analyze trends on visitors, events, beer, and merchandise and make recommendations

  • Perform daily FOH duties and required by staffing.

  • Other duties as needed including but not limited to: glass washing, general cleaning, and keg deliveries

    Participate in special events

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 3+ years’ experience leading staff in a restaurant and/or taproom atmosphere

  • 21 years old or older

  • Beer knowledge and a passion for craft beer (Certified beer servers and Certified Cicerones strongly encouraged to apply)

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changing situations

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Open availability with majority of hours being in the evenings and on weekends

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. regularly

  • Valid Driver’s License

Optional REQUIREMENTS:

  • ROAMING BARTENDER

    • Possess a “rock star” personality, as you are the first face guests see when they enter, and the last they see when they leave

    • Learn the elf-pour tap system inside and out, and be able to knowledgably explain to guests

    • Have the ability to multitask, as you may be checking in/out guests, may be at the wall explaining the beer or may be cleaning up the dining room

    • Ascertain and retain extensive beer knowledge, including all types of beer styles, and be able to understand the likes of a guest in order to recommend

  • Maintain extensive knowledge of all other services offered, i.e. food program, outdoor activities (hiking, biking, running, climbing, etc)

  • Foster an extremely high attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, on the tap wall, on the patio and in the restrooms

  • Understand the science behind “the perfect beer pour”, and be able to coach a guest to do the same

  • Completely adhere to opening and closing checklists and faithfully execute all steps/processes contained within

  • Monitor alcohol consumption and be able to report to management when consumption for an individual is concerning

  • Weekend Availablility
